A01-061-REmbossed wood veneer
KOSEE makes embossed real-wood veneer in Guangdong, China, hot-pressing layers of veneer into raised patterns you can see and feel. Also known as 3D or dimensional wood veneer, this textured material offers designers, fabricators and buyers a way to explore relief alongside natural grain. Compare 49 numbered references for wall panels, cabinet fronts and furniture faces, then use a physical swatch to review colour, texture and orientation before specifying your project.

How to read the relief
Look at the direction of the grain first, then follow the ridges that cross it. In side light, a broad ripple throws a different shadow from a fine, closely spaced line. Turn the same swatch through a quarter turn to see the difference in your room.
A woodgrain print reproduces the look of grain in ink. Flat wood veneer has a real wood face with a largely level surface. KOSEE embosses a profile into real-wood veneer, so you can see the grain and feel the contours. A complete wall panel system also needs a core, edge details, joints and fixings. Specify which of those components your project requires.
The veneer measures 1.2 mm at its thickest point. For the height or spacing of a ridge, request a profile measurement for the numbered swatch. Side lighting makes the contours easier to see.
Choose a texture for your application
These showroom panels and close-ups are material references. Each scale drawing compares the 2500 × 1250 mm catalogue sheet with a familiar object. Use the sample to approve the surface and your drawing to plan the cuts.
Textured wood veneer for wall panels
Start with the wall elevation, panel joints and lighting direction. A texture that reads clearly at close range may look different across a large surface, so review both the overall layout and a physical sample.
Send your preferred reference, approximate wall area, panel dimensions and grain direction. Identify whether you need veneer for your fabricator or a bonded component. The substrate, usable sheet size, edge treatment and fixing requirements need project-specific confirmation.
Embossed veneer for cabinet doors and drawer fronts
Across paired doors or stacked drawers, both grain and relief direction influence how the finished front reads. Review neighbouring cuts together, with the cabinet shown closed, rather than approving each front separately.
Include a closed elevation, front dimensions, joint positions and handle locations with your enquiry. Ask your fabricator to review cutting allowances, edge details and the proposed finish on a trial piece. Pattern alignment across separate components must be checked against the selected reference and layout.
3D veneer for furniture faces and ends
For sideboards, drawer faces and furniture ends, assess the texture at normal viewing distance and where it meets an edge or corner. Use your part dimensions to judge how much of the pattern will remain visible after cutting.
Send the material reference, component sizes, quantity and intended finish for quotation. If a part is curved, provide its radius and grain direction for construction review before selection. Curved applications, moisture exposure, heat and heavy wear require specific assessment rather than assumptions based on photographs.
Specifications and supply
- Catalogue sheet
- 2500 × 1250 mm. Send your cut list so we can confirm usable sizes, joint positions and yield for your layout.
- Veneer thickness
- 1.2 mm at the thickest point of the veneer. The finished panel build-up depends on the backing and finish you specify.
- Wood species and colour
- The embossed references are based on KOSEE’s dyed veneer numbering system. Send the full embossed reference so we can confirm the wood species and available sheet size. Approve colour against a physical swatch in the intended light.
- Substrate and bonding
- Tell us whether you need veneer for your own fabricator or a bonded component. We confirm the substrate, adhesive and pressing method for the selected reference and intended use.
- Finish and use limits
- Specify the sheen, cleaning conditions and expected contact with moisture or heat. If the part is curved, used outdoors, subject to heavy wear or part of a fire-rated assembly, ask KOSEE to review the exact build-up before you specify it.
- Minimum order
- One sheet of embossed veneer. Send your reference, quantity and target date for a price and lead time for your order.
- U.S. delivery and freight
- KOSEE delivers throughout the United States. Freight is charged separately, and KOSEE provides documentation of the freight cost. We confirm delivery terms for your destination in the quotation. For samples, we collect the full shipping address when arranging dispatch. A northeastern U.S. warehouse is in the planning stage. Ask for the dispatch origin and delivery schedule for your order.
- Documents for U.S. projects
- Send the project location, intended use, substrate and any fire or emissions requirements from your specification. We will check which documents cover the proposed assembly before you approve it.
Questions before you order
What is embossed wood veneer?
Embossed wood veneer has a real-wood face with a raised profile created by hot-pressing layers of veneer. It is also described as 3D, dimensional or textured wood veneer. It is not the same as a printed woodgrain surface or a complete wall panel system.
Can I request one pattern without buying the full book?
Yes. Select a reference and use the numbered swatch request. Individual swatches are available. We confirm any swatch charge and freight before dispatch. The physical sample book is US$100 per set.
What size and thickness are available?
The catalogue sheet measures 2500 × 1250 mm. The veneer is 1.2 mm thick at its thickest point. For your cutting plan, ask for the usable sheet size, measured relief height and finished panel construction for your selected reference.
Will the pattern continue across adjacent doors or panels?
Continuity needs to be reviewed on the actual layout and cuts. Provide the grain direction, top-edge orientation and joint positions, then review adjacent pieces together. Do not assume every reference will align automatically across separate components.
Can my fabricator bond and finish the veneer?
Submit the proposed substrate, adhesive, pressing process and coating for review. Approve a trial piece using the intended construction so that you can assess the surface, edges and how the finish sits within the relief.
What should I send for a project quote?
Include the application, preferred references if selected, approximate dimensions, quantity or area, destination and target date. Add a drawing where joints, edges or curves matter. We will confirm the construction, price, production timing and freight for your order. Request a Project Quote.
How can I compare the collection before requesting samples?
Download the free 58-page catalogue and shortlist the numbered references. Use photographs to narrow the selection, then review a physical swatch for colour, texture and orientation under the intended project lighting.
The physical sample book
For a wall or a bank of cabinet doors, hold the book upright and turn it towards the light. Compare how the 3D relief casts shadows across the grain, then note the reference you want to review at project scale.

All 49 embossed veneer references
The 49 references are ordering codes in four catalogue series: A01, B02, C03 and D04. Use the full code, including its colour suffix, when comparing swatches or requesting a price. Browse the photographs to compare the relief within and across series.

Request a numbered veneer swatch
For a wall panel or cabinet door, hold a swatch upright in the light your project will use. Turn it a quarter turn to compare the grain direction and the shadow from the relief.
For a quotation, include the pattern number, panel size, approximate area and intended finish. We will confirm the available sheet dimensions and construction for that reference.
